Saena is a concept album performed with one goblet drum ( tombak ) and based on the story of a bird (Simorgh) in the Zoroastrian mythology, as the symbol of fertility and life on earth. Simorgh lands on the Saena tree, spreading its wings and making the seeds of Saena fall to ground and create life. The album was recorded without any recourse to the usual studio techniques.

Farinaz says...
This is by far one of the best tombak CDs I have ever heard. Unbelievable! Love it. It is perfection. What an incredible player!
