5 years. Although carrying this disease for long, she never stopped working and parallel to the hard and frustrating chemo-therapies she went consistently on stage in
Switzerlan
d, held classes and workshops, toured around Europe and her audience barely noticed any sign of illness or weakness.
One of her final concerts was in her homeland Iran (Tehran, February 2012). Playing in Iran for the first time, Asita Hamidi premiered also some of Bazaar's new pieces from the upcoming album "Garden of Silence".
Bazaar's final rehearsing sessions for "Garden of Silence" along with guest artists from Iran and Sweden (November 2012, Bern) got interrupted as the rapid growth of tumors and the caused pain forced Asita to get hospitalized again. Unfortunately medical treatments couldn't help and on December 17, the music scene lost a passionate musician, a
dear friend and brave human. She will be remembered deeply. May her soul rest in peace.
